Now that the Big Game is over...
& you’ve vacuumed up all the Doritos out of the carpet, it’s time to get back on track! Giving into temptations is unavoidable from time to time. But you deserve to treat yourself and not feel guilty.
That’s why we’ve come up with some tips to help you get back on track and get back to chasing those resolutions you set for yourself not even a month ago.
It’s a new day. Act like it!
A lot of people have a habit of giving up altogether when they give in to a treat, thinking they have destroyed their diet or healthy habits and that there is no point in continuing to try to create a better version of themselves. But in reality, no one gains any extra weight off one Snickers bar or bag of chips; as we’ve said before, there are no bad foods, only bad portions! So don’t dwell on the past. Focus on the now of your healthy choices. Take every opportunity to make better choices for yourself and work on manifesting healthy habits.
Make a plan.
You are more likely to stick to healthy habits when they are your only option and are easy to execute. Fast food is called fast food for a reason– it’s fast and convenient, which makes it that much easier to sneak into your hectic day-to-day life. At Fitlife, we want to make the food prep aspect of your life easy, requiring as little of your time as possible, so that’s it’s even quicker than swinging through a Mcdonald’s drivethrough. Planning out your meals for the week is one less thing you have to worry about when you know you have healthy options on-hand and readily available.
Take it one day at a time.
No one loses 50lbs after eating one salad. So don’t put an extreme amount of pressure on yourself for results in such a short amount of time. Imagine if a caterpillar gave up on its first week in the world. It would never know the potential of turning into a beautiful butterfly!
Goals, especially ones revolving around health, take a lot of time and dedication to make an impact on you and your body. Fall in love with the process and how you feel by making these healthy choices. And the rest will follow. Surround yourself with people who either have the same goals as you or support you in the healthy choices you make. This not only makes the process easier but gives you the support of someone you can relate to, which is crucial for reaching your milestones.
We are all on our own wellness journey trying to achieve our goals. So we hope these tips help you in all aspects of your life. Of course, you can always look to your Fitlife Family for more support and guidance when you need it.
