Sunday Rituals by Kiersten Finch

When Sunday approaches, so do all the thoughts and stressors of the week ahead.

Taking the time to prepare on Sunday for the coming week can make your life so much easier when it comes to daily tasks and will give you more time to spend doing the things you love after a long day of work. Here at Fitlife, we compiled some of our favorite Sunday rituals to set yourself up for success and to help you do more each week and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the week instead of stressing over it.

Meal Prep Of Course!

This is something we can handle for you each and every week. Come in store and place an order for Home Delivery. That way, you won’t have to worry about packing school lunches or rushing home to cook dinner—which is not only convenient but helps you kick those cravings and keep your healthy habits on track each week. With delivery at your door, you won’t be tempted to visit the drive-thru. But if you are in the mood to indulge without the guilt, you can always enjoy one of our Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies as a treat.

 Create A Grocery List

We know that sometimes you might want to switch it up and go grocery shopping for your snacks and meals. Before heading to the store, make a list of exactly what you need. This will not only help you plan out what you want to eat for the week, but it will help you save money by keeping you from picking up unnecessary things along the way. Also, be sure to eat a filling meal before you go, so you are not tempted to give in to your cravings while wandering through the aisles.

Self-Care Sunday

This is something we could all take more time to do. Your mental health is crucial to setting yourself up for a successful week. Go for a walk. Read a few chapters of a book. Take a bath. Or, take a moment or two to do something for yourself, because you deserve it!

Tidy Up!

While it may not sound the most appealing to, having a tidy space can make a difference in your day-to-day attitude. It’s almost impossible to focus on your priorities or even think straight if your surroundings are messy. Creating a clean and tidy environment will not only make you feel good but will help you make progress toward your goals throughout the week.

Get Moving

Finding the time to go to the gym can sometimes feel impossible. So if you’re pressed for time, try high-intensity interval training. A HIIT workout will only take about 10 minutes to get your blood flowing and you can do most of them from the comfort of your living room. Setting time aside on Sundays to do a quick workout can stimulate your body and put you in a motivated state of mind and for the week ahead. Getting active is an important part of self-care that will keep you looking and feeling good!

Set Goals for Yourself

Nothing feels better than creating a list of things you want to achieve and checking them off one by one. Set simple weekly goals for yourself to give yourself attainable tasks like exercising, drinking eight glasses of water a day, or washing the dog. Make it fun and get creative with things you can look forward to during the week. Just don’t forget it’s okay to reward yourself once in a while when you reach a goal!
